  1. Can the Advanced Ceramic Finish be applied over Amorim's cork that already has your factory finish applied?

Answer:

The Advanced Ceramic Finish can be applied over Amorim's cork. The procedure is as follows:

  • Abrade with a 120 grit screen
  • Apply Adhesion Primer (ID#6507)
  • Apply Armor (ID#6501)
  • Apply Shield (ID#6502-X) (the "x" represents the sheen level)

2. If this is done on a brand new installation prior to any traffic, can just the Shield be applied, or are the Sealer and Armor also necessary?

Answer:

You can skip the Armor coat in the process above, if you desire, but you will lose some scratch resistance as a result.
